Position Summary

 

Within our IT Team for Human Resources Product Stream, we are looking for a Global Solutions Architect  to complete our Employee Lifecycle (ELC) & Total Rewards (TR) product group. ELC & TR enables >250,000 Employees, Line Managers and HR professionals around the Nestlé world in 150+ countries with > 2.5 million+ updates annually. It includes technologies enabling various HR end to end processes: Personnel administration, Position Management, People Enterprise Architecture / organization management, Payroll, Time Management, Compensation, Global Mobility, HR Automation and Employee Services Digital Experience. These technologies also act as the engine for data and events that drive rest of Hire to Retire processes (like Talent Management) and as well provide fuel to generate necessary people analytics and insights.

 

Scope of this role as Global Solutions Architect Employee Lifecycle & Total Rewards covers below processes / products within the ELC & Total Rewards product group:
•    Global Payroll (75+ countries)
•    Time & Attendance, Retail Workforce Scheduling & Timesheets
•    Compensation Management – incl. Recognition, Modeling, Grades, Incentives, etc
•    Global Mobility
•    Benefits
 

Key responsibilities

 

Below would be high-level architecture principles you would be delivering on

  • “Freedom in a box” – allow no code customization closer to business user with guard rails
  • “Scale faster & cheaper” - Develop methods to scale applications at speed and at low cost
  • “Efficient & Effective” - Continuously optimize application sustain efforts through automation / removal of maintenance activities while improving the quality

 

Below would be high-level responsibilities for you as Solutions Architect

  • Define & Maintain technology and integration landscape
  • Define & Align tech strategy with external trends, business needs and people strategy
  • Act as the technology Guru – evangelizing new IT delivery methods and new technologies
  • Act as Quality Lead - Define Quality Assurance standards and act as guardian of the same
  • Act as Engineering Lead - Own the design, delivery and maintenance of custom developments / applications / integrations through managed services staff
  • Support Product Managers in definition & delivery of product vision
  • Support Product Group Manager in defining & delivery of integrated product group vision
  • Support HR Product Stream Architect aligning with Enterprise Architecture vision

 

Your typical day-to-day activities include:

  • Prepare Architecture specifications for new applications
  • Represent your area of products in Architecture review boards
  • Review & Approve / Guide technology design changes
  • Facilitate requirement gathering & prototyping leveraging design thinking methodology
  • Evaluate new technologies for business and landscape fit for Nestle 
  • Track & Evaluate delivery of custom applications / integrations from 3rd party vendors
  • Perform feasibility study and provide estimations, high level plan for new initiatives
  • Troubleshoot long standing, difficult to solve open production / project issues
  • Run training programs / education sessions to familiarize broader team on new technologies
  • Engage with industry benchmarking organizations, peers from within and outside Nestle
     

What will make you successful

 

  • 5+ years of experience in a HR Software company or product based HRIS organization 
  • 10+ years of experience of implementing & sustaining below technologies:
    • Must Have – at least two of the below
      • SAP Payroll 
      • Kronos Workforce Central
      • Successfactors Compensation
      • Custom development with Microsoft Technologies / SAP Business Technology Platform
  • 5+ years of experience in leading delivery teams leveraging Agile and DevOps methodologies 
  • Experience in driving Design Thinking sessions and User Experience reviews
  • Leadership Skills: 
    • Understanding of business context of Global CPG industry
    • Ability to see through complexity & chaos
    • Clear communication of complex ideas & highly technical topics to non-technical audience
    • Ability to influence without authority and lead teams to success
    • Create alignment among disparate stakeholders with diverse interests
    • Lead by example, promote an open culture and our values in a sustainable way
    • Coaching, developing and assessing talent, building the organization wide capabilities.
